1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take items 6, 7 and 8 in private. 2. Trusts and Succession (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence from— Valerie Macniven, Trustee, The Church of Scotland Trust; Mike Blair, Solicitor and Trustee, Gillespie Macandrew LLP; Joan Fraser, Trustee; Charlie Marshall, General Manager, Wings for Warriors; Mhairi Maguire, Executive Director, Enable Trustee Service; Chris Sheldon, Trustee, Turcan Connell; Madelaine Sproule, Solicitor, Church of Scotland; Ian Hood, Trustee, Private Trust. 3. Instruments subject to affirmative procedure: The Committee will consider the following— Animal By-Products and Animal Health (Miscellaneous Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 (SSI 2023/Draft) Forced Marriage etc. (Protection and Jurisdiction) (Scotland) Act 2011 (Application to Civil Partnerships and Consequential Provision) Order 2023 (SSI 2023/Draft) 4. Instruments subject to negative procedure: The Committee will consider the following— Education (Fees and Student Support) (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 (SSI 2023/142) Animal Health (Miscellaneous Fees) (Amendment and Revocation) (Scotland) Order 2023 (SSI 2023/143) 5. Instruments not subject to any parliamentary procedure: The Committee will consider the following— Burial and Cremation (Scotland) Act 2016 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2023 (SSI 2023/145 (C.14)) Civil Partnership (Scotland) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2023 (SSI 2023/146 (C.15)) 6. Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill (UK Parliament legislation): The Committee will consider the response received from the Scottish Government on the powers to make subordinate legislation within devolved competence in the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill (UK Parliament legislation). 7. Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill: The Committee will consider an update on the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill following recent amendments to the Bill in the UK Parliament. 8. Trusts and Succession (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider the evidence it heard earlier in the meeting.
