1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 6 in private. 2. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will take evidence on the Redress for Survivors (Historical Child Abuse in Care) (Payments Materially Affected by Error) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 from— John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for COVID Recovery, and Lisa McCloy, Divisional Development and Legislation Unit Head, Scottish Government; Claire Montgomery, Solicitor, Scottish Government Legal Directorate. 3. Subordinate legislation: John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Covid recovery to move—S6M-01889—That the Education, Children and Young People Committee recommends that the Redress for Survivors (Historical Child Abuse in Care) (Payments Materially Affected by Error) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 be approved. 4. Impact of Covid 19 on Children and Young People: The Committee will take evidence from— Jennifer King, Education Manager, Children & Families Service, Dundee City Council and Chair of ASN/CYP Services, Association of Directors of Education in Scotland (ADES); Laura Caven, Chief Officer, Children and Young People Team, COSLA; Mike Corbett, National Official (Scotland), NASUWT; Joan Tranent, Chief Social Worker, Midlothian Council and Deputy Chair of Children and Families Standing Committee, Social Work Scotland. 5. Evidence Session The Committee will consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 4. 6. Advanced Research and Invention Agency Bill (UK Parliament legislation): The Committee will consider a draft report.
