1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take items 5 and 6 in private. 2. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will take evidence on the Independent Reviewer (Modification of Functions) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 from— Clare Haughey MSP, Minister for Children and Young People, Angela Leonard, Policy Officer, Disclosure Scotland, and Barry McCaffrey, Solicitor, Legal Directorate, Scottish Government. 3. Subordinate legislation: Clare Haughey (Minister for Children and Young People) to move—S6M-01632—That the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee recommends that the Independent Reviewer (Modification of Functions) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 be approved. 4. Civil Justice introductory session: The Committee will take evidence, in a round table format, from— Kay McCorquodale, Executive Director, Judicial Office, Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service; Ruth Crawford QC, Treasurer, Faculty of Advocates; Iain Nicol, Convener of the Civil Justice Committee, Law Society of Scotland; Karen Wylie, Vice Chair, Family Law Association of Scotland; Professor Richard Susskind OBE, Technology Adviser to the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales. 5. Civil Justice introductory session: The Committee will consider the evidence it heard under agenda item 4. 6. Miners’ Strike (Pardons) (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1.
