1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take items 6 and 7 in private. 2. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will take evidence on the Public Services Reform (Poverty and Inequality Commission) (Scotland) Order 2018 [draft] and the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Poverty and Inequality Commission and Scottish Commission on Social Security as Specified Authorities) Order 2018 [draft] from— Aileen Campbell, Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government, Paul Tyrer, Head of Social Justice Strategy, and Colin Brown, Solicitor, Scottish Government. 3. Subordinate legislation: Aileen Campbell (Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government) to move— S5M-13766—That the Social Security Committee recommends that the Public Services Reform (Poverty and Inequality Commission) (Scotland) Order 2018 [draft] be approved. S5M-13768— That the Social Security Committee recommends that the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Poverty and Inequality Commission and Scottish Commission on Social Security as Specified Authorities) Order 2018 [draft] be approved. 4. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider the following negative instrument— Council Tax Reduction (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2018 (SSI 2018/211) 5. Social security and in-work poverty: The Committee will take evidence from— Rob Gowans, Policy Officer, Citizens Advice Scotland; Victoria Todd, Head of LITRG Team, Low Incomes Tax Reform Group; Kirsty McKechnie, Welfare Rights Worker, Child Poverty Action Group in Scotland. 6. Social security and in-work poverty: The Committee will consider the evidence heard earlier in the meeting. 7. Scottish Government consultations: The Committee will consider correspondence from the Cabinet Secretary for Social Security and Older People on draft young carer regulations and draft investigation of offences regulations and a draft code of practice for investigations.
